Another new look for the website

It isn't quite as radical as the last time I went for a new look for the site, but for all of you with standards compliant browsers* you should see different effect on the Left Nav. With the power of CSS and its graceful degredation, old versions of Opera (v5 and v6) and all recent versions of IE should see a simplified version.
Read more for a more technical description.
The site now uses minimal HTML and CSS - using the :before pseudo-element to add the slanted corners to the Left Nav. Even better, it also uses minimal markup - the Left Nav boxes are now composed of a single DIV containing a H4 for the header and a second Div for the sub content.
Thanks to Virtuelvis for the idea of using the :before pseudo-element to get the slants (originally an article on rounded corners with no extra mark-up), and the many CSS example websites out there for the motivation and inspiration! Now, if only I could do some of the more impressive things...!
* The design has been tested and works in Firefox 1.0, Opera 7.54, Mozilla 0.9 (build date: June 2001), and degrades gracefully in Opera 6, Opera 5.1 and v5, v5.5 and v6 of IE (except for some strange left-padding in the header in IE5). Opera 7.1 has minor issues with correctly positioning the slants, but it all content is still readable.
