Updated UberPainter Mods available

Both of the UberPainter mods have now been updated.

The UberPainter Mod for Dawn of War has been updated to include the Gretchin and the Squiggoth for the Orks, and now has an improved list order (the same as that used in the Winter Assault mod.

The UberPainter Mod for Dawn of War: Winter Assault has also been updated to include the Squiggoth and the Gretchin for the Orks.

Apologies to everyone who missed them in the first version of the mod!

New texture and custom banner and badge set

Two new downloads have now been added to the site.

First is a semi-fluffy new texture from Havoc. The Team colourable skinned Orks allow you to change the colour of your Orks from the normal green to something darker, lighter, or more blue to represent the off-shoot Orks of a more aquatic nature. Alternatively, you can even make your Orks pink, but then that'd just be crazy!

The second new file is from BattleTank, and is his Black Gryphons chapter badge, banner and teamcolour set. Previously released on Hangar-8's site, BattleTank has also released them here following Hangar-8's closure to submissions.

Thanks to both authors for their contributions, and thanks to everyone who has, within just over two days, downloaded the Winter Assault UberPainter Mod over 100 times!

UberPainter Mod released for Winter Assault

Following hot on the heels of last night's UberPainter Mod release comes a new version - the UberPainter WA Mod, a separate mod that you can run alongside the original to give you all of the UberPainter Army Painter functionality in Winter Assault as well!

The Winter Assault version of UberPainter also features an improved ordering of unit previews, thanks to feedback from Kresjah. Although I had some logic behind the original ordering, I think the new ordering makes more sense.

UberPainter Mod released

Newly created and uploaded is the "UberPainter Mod". Similar to the existing Army Painter mods, but with extra features, the UberPainter is perfect for people who want to see all of the units and buildings or use the whole range of Games Workshop paints.

The UberPainter is aimed mainly at Skinners, but is also a useful mod for anyone making new colour schemes who wants to see what it looks like on all of the units and buildings.

Grey Lions badges and banner

Following a previous release to Hangar-8's Badges and Banner site (now closed to submissions) BattleTank has now released another custom-chapter set. The initial version of the Grey Lions Space Marines set is now available for download.

Two more banners from Tagger

Following very swiftly on from his first badge and banner sets, Tagger has now submitted two more - one heretical Chaos and the other semi-heretical.

Firstly is the Thousand Sons Chaos Space Marines. The badge and banner aren't taken from any canon sources, but they look great and fit perfectly.

Secondly is the Soul Drinkers Space Marines. Not entirely heretical, but not a loyalist chapter either, the Soul Drinkers have a nicely rendered chalice on their badge and banner.

Thanks to Tagger for his continued submissions, and I hope you all enjoy them.

New badges, banners and textures

Following very closely on the heels of his original Fire Dragons submissions, Jace has now submitted an updated non-Team Colourable Fire Dragons texture. This texture adds minor improvements, changing the dull grey to a more silvery white.

Also in the new submissions are two new badge and banner makers.

Tagger has submitted his first file - a Red Corsairs badge and banner set based on an article in White Dwarf about the heretic chapter.

Aralez has also joined the community with his first submission - Detailed Eldar Badges to replace those boring silhouette badges.

Thanks to all of the contributors, and hopefully we'll be seeing more from all of them soon!

Additional colours in Army Painter

Dawn of War has been released for almost 16 months now, and still people are finding new things that can be modified in the game!

Scorpia recently posted a brief tutorial on the Relic News forums about adding new preset colours to the Army Painter. This tutorial is now available as the article "How to add new preset colours to the Army Painter" and the information within it will hopefully soon be used to make an improved Army Painter mod.

New skin from Havoc

Once again Havoc has released a new Space Marine skin with more detailing and decoration on the armour. Not content with releasing the Iron Hands Space Marines and associated characters, he has now released a Veteran Reborn skins.

Despite a few minor inconsistencies in the fluff description of the skin, this great new skin adds extra detailing to shoulders and legs, reworks the chest plate and adds some interesting glow effects - work that any artificer would be proud of.

New artist, new texture

Skins@HWT has just received and added a new texture from yet another new artist!

Following on from Sandwichwarrior's original Aspect Warrior textures, that showed the Aspect Warriors in their true colours, Jace has released non-teamcolourable Fire Dragons. These textures complete the set for those people running Winter Assault and use the normal orange and grey style of the campaign Fire Dragons.
