Tau Badge update
Following the release of the Tau badges three days ago, the full set of seventeen Tau Sept badges has now been released. The the pack is intended for use with the Tau Mod and should also be available as part of a later release.
Tau Badges released
In recent issues of White Dwarf, Games Workshop have been explaining various parts of the new Tau army, including paint schemes and symbols. With the Tau Mod also slowly maturing and heading towards a completed mod, they were still missing badges and the banner was fairly basic.
Enter the new Tau Badges pack from IBBoard! So far I've made eight of the seventeen Sept badges listed in Codex: Tau Empire, with the remaining badges coming soon. I'll also be creating banners for all of the Septs and contributing them to the Tau Mod. For now, you can download the sample pack and select them in the army painter.
Hopefully some Tau players will find this new set of badges useful.
Tau Sept colour schemes
Following on from the Chaos Renegade pack, Caelien has now released a set of Tau Sept colour schemes. These colour schemes, designed for the Tau Mod, are based on Games Workshop's latest colour scheme releases in White Dwarf 315.
Thanks to Caelien for the submission, and hopefully we'll see more in the future.
Bloodied Chaos Space Marine skin
We now have a new skin from a new contributor: the Bloodied Chaos Space Marines from Slash. The skin adds extra dried blood to the Chaos Marines, making them look like they've just finished reveling in the slaughter of someone.
Thanks to Slash for submitting the files, and hopefully we will see more of his work soon.
Ten new downloads!
The news is slightly delayed from the uploads (blame the re-run of today's Formula One race for that) but ten, yes ten, new downloads have been added!
First up is the Chaos Renegades teamcolour set. Created by Caelien and based on the Renegades in the back of the 4th Edition Codex: Chaos Space Marines, the pack contains seven teamcolour files.
Also added are nine new Army Schemes from IBBoard and TGSC. Some have been previously available as individual downloads, others are completed sets that previously only had a badge.
Army Schemes are full sets of badge, banner and teamcolour - everything you need to recreate a Chapter, Legion, Craftworld, Clan or Regiment without having to try to select the colours yourself.
The new packs are:
- Angels of Redemption
- Angels Sanguine
- Aurora Marines
- Black Templars
- TGSC's original Crimson Fists
- Flesh Tearers
- Howling Griffons
- Iron Hands
- Mentor Legion
Two other packs are also in the pipeline, but still need a bit of work.
Competition Time!
It's competition time here at Skins@HWT. Final Year Project has been taking up much of my time, but it's all under control now and the Halved Marines and Quartered Marines mod may make a 1.4-balanced appearance in the near future!
Once the two individual mods are released, I'll be releasing a combined mod so that you can play both the Halved and Quartered Marine Mods together! The competition is open now, and relates to this combined mod.
You can read more and post in the Competition Time! thread on the forums, but basically the competition is to make a badge and banner set for a Halved or Quartered Marine chapter, either official or home-made.
The gauntlet is laid - it's time to work on those badges and banners!
Blood Ravens update from Crystalking
Following his Campaign Ork and 412th Cadian 'Beta' teamcolour updates, Crystalking has now updated his Blood Ravens Third Company teamcolour. The update changes a few colours and now includes a readme and screenshots.
Screenshots will be added to the download page just as soon as I'm on my main machine with the graphics package, and not my website development machine with no easy graphics package. I'm sure everyone knows what the Blood Ravens look like anyway!
Team Colourable Imperial Guard Buildings released
Having released some Fixed-colour camouflaged Imperial Guard buildings previously, Havoc has now released a set of Team Colourable Imperial Guard Buildings.
These new textures make all of the concrete areas of the Imperial Guard buildings teamcolourable, instead of standard grey.
New Hands of Fate Chaos releases
Newly added are two downloads from Hands of Fate, both revolving around Chaos.
The first is the Chaos Sorcerer Fix, which corrects a minor issue with the Sorcerer's eyes when you used bright colours.
The second, Chaos Dreadnought Icons, are a useful resource for any mod team making a Chaos mod - all of whom seem to be including a Dreadnought for Chaos. These icons are not directly useful to normal gamers, and so have been included in our Skinning and Modding Resources section.
Many thanks to Hands of Fate for letting us host his downloads (which were previously hosted with SaveFile.com).
Briarus' Renegades Added
Due to other work (Final Year University stuff) it took a day and a half, but I have now added Briarus' Renegade submission.
The Renegade army schemes set contains eight .teamcolour files, three badges and two banners for new renegade chapters created by Briarus.
