Lamenters Mod released
Following a few pre-release revisions, Telboy007's Lamenters Mod is now available.
Taking advantage of the recently released Dawn of War Texture Tool, the Lamenters Mod replaces the Blood Ravens in the original Dawn of War campaign with Space Marines from the Lamenters chapter (thanks to Hangar-8's badge and banner set).
Updated teamcolours from Crystalking52
Crystalking52 has recently submitted some updates to the his Campaign Ork and 412th Cadian Regiment teamcolours. These v1.1 teamcolours make some minor changes to the colours for an even better match.
Screenshots for these downloads will be added soon.
Hangar-8's downloads migrated (again)
Having moved his site over to ConcreteJunglePrimitives.com for a short while, Hangar-8 has decided to relocate back to his own domain.
All downloads and links should now have been corrected to point to his new site at wh40k.ei8ht.net. If you have any problems with any of the downloads or links, please contact me.
Team Colourable Vindicare Assassin
We now have yet another skin released by Havoc.
The Team Colourable Vindicare Assassin was made and released following a request on the Relic Forums.
The new skin does mean that your Assassin may not always be camouflaged, depending on your colour scheme, but he will be more easily distinguishable from the Assassins of other teams.
Downloadable Tutorials
Following Cagecrawler's recent Offline Resources topic, several useful tutorials were made available in a downloadable form for those who don't have constant access to the Internet.
Having originally hosted some of the files on savefile.com, Cagecrawler has now taken up the offer to host them on Skins @ Hive World Terra in the Skinning and Modding Resources section.
Currently available are the Level Design Tutorial, Relic ScarDoc and UVW Mapping Tutorial.
Further 'offlined' tutorials will be made available as they're released by Cagecrawler. We may even see the RDN Wiki available at some point, although it's proving to be a big task!
New error handler installed
Work has just been completed on a new error handler for the site. The most important thing for visitors is that, should they hit a broken link, the page is now more in-keeping with the rest of the site.
As an additional feature the error handler also acts as a redirecter, so links such as skins.hiveworldterra.co.uk/TextureTool/ that redirect to the appropriate page no longer need to be put into a set of rules that are checked on every single page load.
If you notice and problems, please tell me.
52nd Colth Mobilized scheme updated
Following on from the original release of the 52nd Colth Mobilized army scheme, DarkRaptor has released an updated set.
The 52nd Colth Mobilized v1.1 pack contains all of the badges, banners and teamcolours of the original release, plus a pre-Heresy and Jungle colour scheme.
WarSeer Skin released as a mod
The WarSeer Skin (previously released as just a collection of texture files, the same as any other skin) has now been released as a full WarSeer Skin mod.
The Mod doesn't change anything other than the textures, but does change the texture of the front-end models for Dawn of War and Winter Assault.
Bug-fix for Texture Tool released
Although the Texture Tool was compiling what seemed to be valid RSH and RTX files, it wasn't storing the number of MipMaps correctly. This meant that the game didn't recognise the textures compiled with the tool (WTP weren't affected since they use WTP files made of TGA images instead of DDS images).
An updated version of the Dawn of War Texture Tool (version 1.3.1) has now been released, which fixes this problem.
Note, though, that any files incorrectly created by the 1.3 version will give invalid images when you extract them using the 1.3.1 tool. The only solution is to extract using 1.3, re-save using Photoshop, and recompile using 1.3.1.
Thanks to tellboy007 from the Relic Forums for picking up the bug and reporting it.
