Fragmented Chimera

Hot on the heels of the Fragmented Sentinel, Diviator has submitted his Fragmented Camo Chimera.

Also, just a quick note to say that the Tau Commander Drones have recently been added to our declined list as the author hadn't contacted us in over three months. The Frost Slayers scheme is also waiting on our pending list until the author gets in contact with the site.

Fragmented Sentinel and Battle Commissars

Diviator has recently been showing images of his almost-complete textures on the Relic News forums. These textures were partly inspired by Hangar-8's Splinter Camo and partly a request for another member.

Now available are:

Thanks to Diviator for his submissions.

Quartered Marines Mod arrives!

The Quartered Marine Mod has finally been released for Dark Crusade. The mod is effectively just a copy of the Halved Marines mod and should play in exactly the same way. Hopefully there will be a combined Mod made available within the next week or so.

Also added this morning was a Dark Knights of Nurgle colour scheme and an Iron Souls army scheme (a badge, banner and .teamcolour file). Thanks to Joe Davison and General Stukov for submitting them.

Coming soon: Quartered Marines for Dark Crusade

Now finished, packaged and ready to ship is the Quartered Marines mod for Dark Crusade. The mod follows on from the Halved Marines mod and is effectively identical except for the race and unit names.

Unfortunately I don't have time to put it up now, so expect to see it tomorrow morning, GMT.

Two new textures from Prism and eezme

The main events of the personal, real-life incidents that slowed down approvals last week have now been concluded, and normality has resumed.

With that I've now approved two of the pending downloads (with the third, from an anonymous source, still remaining on the pending page).

eezme has released a version of the Tau Crisis Suit with a colourable head so that it more closely matched Games Workshop's painted figures. Prism has also release v1.3 of his Khorne Codex skin for the Chaos Berserkers.

Both of these textures are now available to download, and any future submissions will hopefully be back on track for quick approval, where possible.

New Khorne Berserker skin

Apologies to everyone for the delay, but a few real-life incidents have slowed my approval of this download.

Prism has released a Khorne Codex skin for the Chaos Berserkers. Inspired by Hangar-8's skin, the Berserkers are now more Khornate and closer to Games Workshop's World Eaters models. The texture was first released on Hangar-8's forums and reaches us as a v1.2 download.

Also in the pending queue is a Tau Crisis Suit texture from eezme, however no contact address was included in the readme and so it can't be added until it conforms with the submission guidelines. The Tau drone textures are also still pending for the same reasons.

Halved Marines Mod patch released

Following a comment that was left on the Halved Marines Mod for Dark Crusade (which would have been better served as an email) a patch has been released for the mod.

The Halved Marines Mod patch v1.0.1 fixes the Imperial Guard AI so that computer players will actually play, and makes a small tweak to the Space Marine and Halved Marine AI unit statistics.

Halved Marines Mod finally released for Dark Crusade!

It took a while and there have been a few delays in testing and release, but the Halved Marines Mod for Dark Crusade has finally been released!

For those who don't know, the Halved Marine Mod adds a second Space Marine race that are identical to the original, except that they use the Halved Space Marine texture. This allows you to field a standard Space Marine set (such as Hangar-8's Golden Eagles) along side some halved schemes.

The mod includes full AI and win conditions, as well as text for all languages and a translation for the French language. Other translation contributions are always welcomed.

Hopefully, with the Halved Marines out of the door, a matching Quartered Marines mod should follow fairly soon!

Chapter-specific Land Raiders!

Newly released from Fleshp0int are four Chapter-specific Land Raiders out of a planned set of eight. Each of the new textures adds additional iconography taken from Forgeworld's collection of extras, and the textures are available for the Black Templars, Dark Angels, Space Wolves and the Ultramarines.

Added last night were an updated Kasrkin Elite banner texture from Reaper_3_Delta, to improve the banner found on the Imperial Guard Infantry Command, and a set of Space Marine teamcolours and Space Marine army schemes from Briarus.

Also included in today's update have been a number of screenshots for recent additions. There is still a large backlog of screenshots, though, but hopefully I'll be able to get through a reasonable number of them fairly soon

Four new textures

A quick news update with some minor changes to follow later.

Now available are Adonis' Chaos Sorcerer retexture, Blu3Kn1Gh7's Kasrkin Thunder Camo, Diviator's Alternative Heavy Weapon Team and Prism's Space Marine Chaplain. Screenshots (where available) will hopefully be added in the next day or two.

Also in the pipeline to be added soon are Prism's 'evil Librarian' and three submissions that are still pending contact from the authors.
